Frequently Asked Questions

How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?

To cancel or reschedule your appointment, you may either login to your Vagaro account and do so yourself, text, or call us. Review our policies page for more information.

Is my credit card charged when I use it to book online?

Nope! Your credit card simply holds your space and is only charged at checkout.

When should I schedule my appointment?

Waxing/Threading: Every 3-4 weeks, or 2 days before a major event.

Tinting: Every 4-6 weeks, or 5 days before a major event.

Chemical Peels: Once a month for no more than 5 consecutive months, or 14 days before a major event.

Lash Lifts: Every 6-8 weeks, or 3 days before a major event.

Facials: 1-2 times a month, or one week before a major event.

What is threading?

Threading is a form of hair removal that uses cotton thread, twisted in such a way that it grabs individual hairs like a lasso and pulls them out by the root. It’s a great alternative to waxing if your have sensitive or compromised skin.

Am I safe to wax?

We use hypoallergenic soft wax, free from dyes, fragrance, parabens, and rosins. It’s generally safe for even the most sensitive skin. However, if you:

  • have taken antibiotics in the last 30 days

  • are using retinol creams or oral acne medications such as accutane

  • are using topical steroids

  • have tanned or sunburned in the last 3 days

You should opt for threading instead. These contraindications thin the skin, and can result in a “lift” or removal of the epidermal layer (it’s not fun for either party, we promise).

Will a lash lift damage my lashes?

There are a LOT of questionable lash lift systems on the market, and it’s hard to know which ones are safe. We use a professional-grade system called “Keratin Lash Infusion”. Unlike most lash lift solutions, ours uses plant-based keratin rather than perm salts to curl the lash and physically cannot over-process, resulting in ZERO damage. Did we mention it actually promotes healthier, thicker lashes?

Should I wax or thread?

It’s mostly personal preference. However, if you have extremely sensitive skin, threading may be better for you as there is no risk of '“lifting”. If you’re unsure, book one or the other and we can always change it at your appointment.

Do chemical peels hurt?

Some people feel absolutely nothing, while some feel a slight tingling sensation during the peel, but it fades within seconds. After the peel, you should have zero discomfort other than occasional “tightness” with facial movements.
